Another Road Brewing, Marion’s own brewing company and bar is moving from the 8th Avenue law firm basement into a new home location on 9th Street. Another Road Brewing has been at their current location for almost two years. In that time, the business has completely taken off and has gathered a larger crowd than they are able to house at the current location. In about a month, Another Road Brewing will move up the road to 631 9th Street, a bigger location to fit customers’ needs.
“We are needing a bigger space. We want to fix our customers’ only complaints: not enough seating, and no food. The new location will seat 88, where our current location only seats 33,” says co-owner Alex Zoll.
Zoll says he started working on the business plans about five years ago. Co-owner Jeorgia Robison is an attorney in the law office above; making the decision to locate in Marion all the more desirable. While the bar is located in Marion, the brewing operations take place in their warehouse located in Cedar Rapids. They sell all of their own beer, and will be offering “keg accounts” soon after their move.
“Marion is a great crowd! All of the citizens are great, and everybody has been a great help,” says Zoll.
Another Road Brewing is planning on a Grand Opening for their new location at the end of the summer, giving them “enough time to work out the kinks of the new location.” Keep up to date with their move, grand opening celebration, rotating beer selection and other news on their Facebook page!
