Uptown Marion Main Street celebrated a year’s worth of accomplishments and honored 6 outstanding volunteers Thursday, November 9th. The following individuals were recognized for their commitment to the organization and outstanding achievements towards their committee goals.

Retail Promotions Volunteer of the Year Award – Ruthie & Bryan Dolezal, Treasure Chest Collectibles

Economic Vitality Volunteer of the Year Award – Will Brandt, Skogman Realty

Organization Volunteer of the Year Award – Michelle Rains, Pearson

Design Volunteer of the Year Award – Don Garland, Nesper Sign Advertising

Uptown Board of Advisor of the Year Award – Madeline Jarvis, Marion Public Library

“The dedication of our volunteers is so important to the success of our programs and events,” said Director, Brooke Prouty. “Without them we couldn’t do what we do to serve the businesses and community of Uptown. In 2017 alone, volunteers have clocked over 1,100 volunteer hours. To put it into perspective the value of one hour of volunteering is $24.14, meaning that our volunteers are a $27k a year asset. We can’t thank them enough!”
