About The Marion Cultural and Entertainment District (CED):
Uptown Marion is proud to have been recognized by the Iowa Department of Cultural Affairs as a Cultural and Entertainment District (CED).
Iowa Cultural Districts are well-recognized, labeled, mixed-use, compact areas of a city or town in which a high concentration of cultural facilities serves as the anchor.

Marion's CED Mission Statement:
Promote Marion's Cultural & Entertainment District as a preferred destination by creating a vibrant uptown community where area residents and visitors gather to shop, dine, and experience eclectic entertainment and cultural opportunities.
