Mar 19th - "Music in the MUD" - Campbell Steele GalleryMarch 19th, 2010 from 6:00pm until 10:00pm Come out to Campbell Steele Gallery for a night of Music in the MUD (Marion Uptown District) with Billy Lee Janey's Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Allstar Blues Band. This month we'll also be hosting a Back Alley Barbeque catered by LJ's. The wine bar and BBQ will be available beginning at 6 pm. $5.00 cover, $10.00 food charge (optional). Music starts at 7 pm.

Mar 23rd - Marion Library: Food for ThoughtMarch 23rd, 2010 from 12:00pm until 1:00pm Adult book discussion group that meets the 4th Tuesday of the month at noon in the Library's meeting room. Bring your lunch if you like and we'll provide a beverage. This month's group discussion is the Linn Area Reads selection, "Population: 485" by Michael Perry. Perry writes about his life as a volunteer EMT, a challenge even in a town as small as New Auburn, Wisconsin. |

Mar 24th - Marion Library "Environmental Book Club"March 24th, 2010 from 6:30pm until 7:45pm The Marion Library and Prairiewoods Center (www.prairiewoods.org) are cooperating to offer a monthly Environmental Book Club. Meetings will rotate between Prairiewoods and the Marion Library. Each month's focus will be on a different environmental topic. Each month we discuss a new book, preview the next month's book, and share community environmental information. Participants can receive an electronic newsletter with book club updates and environmental news. This month we'll discuss "Thinking Like a Mountain: Towards a Council of all Beings" by John Seed, Joanna Macy, and Pat Fleming. Copies are available to check out at the library. The Red Cedar Chamber Music group will be featuring the "American Quartet" by Anton Dvorak and "Spillville" by Iowa composer Harvey Sollberger. |
