Lincoln Highway, Byway & Future Days

March 11 @ 1:30 pm - 3:30 pm

A history of Iowa’s Lincoln Highway Byway with Janice Gammon. Ms. Gammon serves as the coordinator of the Lincoln Highway Heritage Byway housed at Prairie Rivers of Iowa. Success breeds success, and in 1903, after transcontinental motorists learned that the Omaha-Cedar Rapids-Marion-Clinton route was generally reliable, it became the first choice of coast-to-coast drivers and the choice of Carl Fisher when he formed the Lincoln Highway Association in 1913.
