August Uptown Getdown Schedule Announced

Uptown Getdown will kick off its 2019 season on August 1. The series is held each Thursday night in August from 6:00-9:00 p.m. in City Square Park, Marion. Enjoy live music, great food and family fun at this free event.

Flaming Camaros will start off the series with a rockin good time featuring tunes from Buddy Holly and Johnny Cash to Foo Fighters and Cheap Trick. August 8, Lonesome Road will feature everyone’s favorite country music. Dogs On Skis returns to Uptown Getdown on August 15 with crowd favorites that earned them a spot in the Iowa Rock and Roll Music Hall of Fame. Airiwaves will conclude the series on August 22 featuring classic rock.

Admission is free to the public thanks to these Marion Chamber Platinum Community Partners – Farmers State Bank, Fosters Heating and Air Conditioning, ImOn Communications, and MercyCare Community Physicians, with media support from Townsquare Media. The event is produced by the Marion Chamber of Commerce and Uptown Marion with support from the City of Marion.
